We are the Greater Lafayette chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America covering the cites of Lafayette, West Lafayette, and surrounding areas. We're building a movement that's centered on democracy, cooperation, and transformative justice. A better world is possible, and we can get there by organizing our communities into a mass movement of the working class, but we can't do it without you! Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the USA, with more than 70,000 members nationwide. Many of these members are young people with special dedication to Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ liberation, eco-socialism, and fighting against U.S. imperialism in the Middle East and other parts of the world. We believe that working people should run the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. We are a political and activist organization, not a party; through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
